People browse the internet from mobile more than from PC

Mobile terminals have surpassed PCs, for the first time in the history of mankind, in terms of internet browsing.

2016 is the year in which prophecies many analysts have come true, as mobile internet traffic has surpassed PC internet traffic. You can see in the image below how the rate of internet use on mobile terminals or computers has evolved, the former managing to attract more and more users year after year.

In October 2016, the critical point was reached where the internet traffic generated by mobile terminals surpassed that generated by PCs for the first time. Practically, many more people surf the Internet using a smartphone than a PC, and this puts into context the path we are following at the moment.

According to the image below, in October 2016, 51.3% of those who browsed the Internet used a smartphone, while 48.7 used a PC. The percentage difference between the two mediums through which the Internet is accessed is not large, but it highlights the growing importance of mobile websites and applications.

The trend is very clear and has been observed since a few years ago, this result being very clear both for mobile terminal manufacturers and for webmasters. People find it much easier to surf the Internet from a mobile terminal than from a PC, because they can do it from anywhere and anytime, without problems. Even if the space for viewing the information is smaller, the ease with which the information can be accessed at any time, makes people choose the mobile solution.
