Sony launches the fastest SD card in the world

Yesterday, Sony launched the fastest SD card in the world, it is part of the SF-G series, the company achieving a remarkable achievement with them. More precisely, the new series of SD cards from the SF-G series will offer write speeds of up to 300 MB/s and write speeds of up to 299 MB/s, so much higher than those offered by the current products of this kind.

Sony's SF-G series SD cards will be available in versions with 32 GB, 64 GB and 128 GB of storage space, including support for the UHS-II interface. This interface involves adding a secondary row of pins in the SD card to facilitate data transfer at very high speeds and reach 300 MB/s.

Considering the high speeds for data transfer, the new SD cards will allow the recording of 4K video clips, or of higher resolution, without interruptions. Along with this new series of Sony SF-G cards, the company also launches a special card reader that will allow you to transfer files at such high speeds with normal computers.

To make things even more interesting, Sony SF-G cards are resistant to water, dust, temperature, shock, and X-ray scanning. Currently, Sandisk and Lexar already sell SD cards with read speeds of 300 MB/ s, but the writing ones are 260 MB/s, so lower than the 299 MB/s for writing data for Sony cards.
