iPhone 8 it will go into production in September, according to some information that appeared today, so the rumors regarding the release in the summer would be completely untrue. Although many said that Apple will release the iPhone 8 in the summer to celebrate 10 years since the launch of the first iPhone model, the American plans would be completely different for 2017.
The release of the iPhone 8 in the fall will give Samsung enough time to sell the Samsung Galaxy S8 in considerable quantities before the new Apple smartphone appears. Moreover, the launch of the iPhone 8 could be preceded by the launch of the Samsung Galaxy Note 8, which could reach the market in August of the year.
Regarding Touch ID, it seems that the iPhone 8 will have such a system included, but Apple would like to use a solution developed internally. More precisely, Apple wants to use software from the Authentec company, bought many years ago, but also technology from the Privaris company, so that the iPhone 8 will have Touch ID based only on Apple technologies.

The new Touch ID for iPhone 8 will be produced by TSMC, and because of it including the production of OLED screens will be postponed until September. This new Touch ID system would read the fingerprint through the iPhone 8 screen, so the later release could be based on the fact that the technology is not 100% ready now.
The Touch ID system developed by Apple for the iPhone 8 would use ultrasonic technology to read fingerprints through the screen. The technology differs from that of last year, the capacitive sensor being replaced by ultrasonic technology, so the new Touch ID of the iPhone 8 will be based on completely new technologies of the Apple company.
"Apple has selected neither Synaptics' Natural ID touch fingerprint sensor nor Qualcomm's Sense ID fingerprint technology for its new OLED iPhones, and decided to use its own Authentec algorithm combined with Privaris glass identification technology to redesign a new fingerprint ID solution. Apple's in-house developed fingerprint ID solution will be manufactured at TSMC's 12-inch line using 65nm process technology, adding that production for the new OLED iPhone is unlikely to start until September due to the redesigned fingerprint ID solution."
Apart from the iPhone 8, the Apple company is also preparing to launch two new iPhone 7S terminals, but their production should start in July. Even if iPhone 7S production will start in July, this does not necessarily mean that they will be released earlier than iPhone 8, or at least that's how things should be in the end.
"The upcoming OLED iPhone will also feature a built-in fingerprint sensor device, instead of traditional capacitive touch technology, and use biometric authentication systems such as ultrasound. Apple is expected to enter volume production for two other new iPhones, which will retain LCD for their displays, in July, the sources said."
If the production of iPhone 8 will start in September and the launch will be in the same month, then the quantities of terminals for the launch will be extremely reduced.
