Spotify has 50 million subscribers, Apple Music is struggling

Spotify announced last night that it exceeded the limit of 50 million subscribers of its audio streaming services, available in many countries around the world. The number is up by 10 million units compared to the previous record announced by Spotify just 5 months ago, a sign that the customer base is growing by 2 million subscribers every month.

In comparison, Apple Music had 20 million subscribers in December, and now it should have a little over 22 million subscribers. The difference between the number of subscribers of Spotify and Apple Music is colossal, a sign that Apple still has very big problems in convincing people to subscribe to its audio streaming service.

Although Apple Music is available in many more markets than Spotify, the Swedes have a recipe for success that generates an increase in the subscriber base much faster than in the case of Apple Music. Those from Apple are not at all satisfied with the state in which Apple Music is at the moment, Spotify being far ahead of them.

Despite the major differences between Apple Music and Spotify, the Apple company does not seem to have a battle plan to help it substantially and quickly increase its number of subscribers. Although Apple has everything it needs to be successful with Apple Music, people still prefer Spotify, and that won't change anytime soon.
