Facebook Stories launched globally today

Facebook Stories was launched today in the Facebook application for iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch, this being the fourth application in which the Snapchat function is copied. Those from Facebook initially copied Snapchat's stories function in the Instagram application, but then extended it to the Facebook Messenger and Instagram applications, now it also reaches the main Facebook application.

Those from Facebook have been testing the stories function for the main application for some time, and now users all over the world will have it available for use. You can see in the image below what the stories function looks like for Facebook, it allows the creation of stories with daily events from our lives, these having a temporary duration of availability.

All the stories published using the stories function of Facebook have a duration of only 24 hours in which our friends can see them, after which they disappear completely. To create stories we can use pictures, video clips, texts, emoticons and other elements available in the Facebook application, they being displayed in the upper part of the Facebook News Feed.

The most recent implementation of stories took place for WhatsApp, but Facebook decided to partially withdraw the function there, but in the Facebook application it will remain permanently. A lot of people use the Stories function on Instagram and Messenger, and in the main Facebook application the number of users will increase exponentially thanks to this launch.

Considering that Facebook announced today the global launch of the stories function for the Facebook application, it will probably take a few days for it to be available in Romania as well.
