Apple employees are injured testing the new smart glasses

Company Apple Lossless Audio CODEC (ALAC), has been testing a pair of smart glasses that would offer augmented reality features to users for some time, and today we learn new information about them. In a document made by a partner of the Apple company, work incidents in which employees of those from Cupertino suffered injuries while testing the prototype of a new product are detailed.

According to this information, Apple employees had vision problems due to the use of this Apple product prototype, meaning most likely that pair of smart glasses. These incidents were recorded in February and March, so the testing process of this pair of smart glasses was probably intensified then.

No less than 70 incidents of this kind have been recorded by Apple's partner following employee complaints, so the testing process involves a lot of people. The vision problems that the employees complain about are most likely related to the use of this pair of smart glasses, but clear details about this do not exist.

The cause of the incidents was discussed by Apple's partner, he also stated that there is a possibility that some prototypes were modified without authorization before use. Although there is no clear mention of the type of prototype tested, considering that it is one that affects the eyes, most likely we are really talking about that pair of smart glasses.

"After the BT4 user study, the user advised the study lead, that she experienced discomfort in her eye and said she was able to see the laser flash at several points during the study. Study lead referred her to optometrist and secured prototype unit for analysis. Employee reported eye pain after working with new prototype, thought it may be associated with use. He noticed that the security seal on the magenta (outer) case had been broken and had thought the unit may have been tampered with."
