iOS 11 will BLOCK some iPhone and iPad apps

iOS 11 will block certain applications for iPhone and iPad, those incompatible with 64-bit processors needing an update to be able to run.

iOS 11 will be released in the first beta version tomorrow evening, the Apple company preparing to offer us the next major update for its operating system. We are talking about an iOS 11 that will bring many changes for the iPhone and iPad, which are not yet known, but I am sure that Apple will have quite a varied range of surprises prepared for us.

One of the changes for iOS 11 will be related to the applications we use every day on the iPhone or iPad, some of which will be completely blocked. Specifically, iPhone and iPad applications that are not compatible with the iDevices' 64-bit processors will be blocked by the operating system until the developers update them through the AppStore.

This change for iOS 11 is not a surprise because Apple has already implemented an alert message from iOS 10.3 that tells us that it will be imposed starting from the fall. Apple displays an alert for certain applications that tells us that they are not compatible with iDevices that have 64-bit processors, so they will be blocked in iOS 11 and will not be able to run.

Separate from the alert that is displayed in iOS 10.3.x, the Apple company has also implemented a menu that displays the applications that will not be compatible with iOS 11. This menu can be accessed in Settings > General > About > Apps, Configurations > General > Information > Applications, where all the applications that you will not be able to use on iOS 11 are displayed.

If you do not have applications in your iPhone or iPad that have this problem, then you will not have this menu in your iPhone or iPad in iOS 10 or iOS 11, so if it does not exist, you should not be alarmed, on the contrary. If that menu doesn't exist, then all the applications you use now will work in iOS 11, so you won't have to wait for updates.

The Apple company announced the developers about this change back in March, and during the summer they will have to update them to work in iOS 11. How many will rush to do it is hard to say, but by the fall many applications would they should be compatible with iOS 11, so there shouldn't be many dissatisfied people.
