iOS 11 – Apple hides some applications from the AppStore

iOS 11 it will be presented tonight by the Apple company, but in the meantime its effects are already felt in the AppStore application store. More precisely, the Apple company decided to hide from the AppStore the applications that are not optimized to work on 64-bit processors, in iOS 11 they will be completely blocked in the iPhone or iPad.

If until now users could see all the applications from the AppStore without problems in the terminals, starting today those without support for 32-bit processors are hidden, and this is the "fault" of iOS 11. Apple wants to force developers to optimize their applications for processors of 64 bits, so this measure is meant to "convince" them to optimize for iOS 11.

The measure of those from Apple to impose the optimization of applications before the release of iOS 11 is quite drastic because it practically hides applications from users. In some cases, these applications are bought by them, and now they can no longer find them when searching for reinstallation, although they still do not have iOS 11 installed in their terminals.

Apple has been asking developers for two years to offer apps for 64-bit processors, and iOS 11 is the final point for implementing support. Those who have not done it until now, will have to do it this summer, otherwise the applications they created will not be able to be installed in iOS 11 by users through the AppStore.

Although the AppStore no longer displays applications incompatible with 64-bit processors in searches due to the release of iOS 11, they are still visible in the purchase list. Through it, the applications will be able to be installed by users, even if they do not have iOS 11 installed, but those who have not already downloaded them will no longer have a way to see them in the store.

The change imposed by the Apple company for iOS 11 is made because, probably, starting this year, the iPhone 8 processor will not have support for 32-bit applications. In this idea, Apple must block access to all these applications in iOS 11, otherwise it risks generating problems among users who buy iPhone 8 but cannot use some applications.
