The change was confirmed by those who test the WhatsApp application in beta version at the moment, it will be available in the public version after all the tests will confirm the fact that the launch can be done without problems.
WhatsApp will have a function that will allow you to set colored statuses, more precisely those that have a colored background, as in the image below. Those from Facebook implemented this modification for the social network a long time ago, and now the time has come for WhatsApp users to enjoy something similar, modified for the text messaging application.
WhatsApp and Facebook want users to use the status function in the application more often, so the integration of these functions has exactly this purpose. It seems that the world doesn't give that much importance to this function, so WhatsApp remains with a lower level of use than usual, so the company is making the change in an attempt to exceed the number of 1.3 billion monthly active users.

WhatsApp uses this new function from the menu through which we can set statuses, the button for writing them automatically displaying it in the beta version. This change is displayed only for some of the users who test the beta version of the WhatsApp application for Android, but everything could be extended including to iOS before the function is officially launched for the whole world, probably in the following weeks.
