iPhone 8 vs Galaxy S8 – Camera Comparison

iPhone 8, Samsung Galaxy S8 and iPhone 7 have their cameras compared in a complex test that shows us which of the phones has the best camera now.

iPhone 8, Samsung Galaxy S8 and iPhone 7 appear in a first camera comparison that shows us again that Apple's new phone really seems to have the second best camera implemented in a phone, after the iPhone 8 Plus. Yesterday I saw a comparison between the iPhone 8 Plus and the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 that shows us how big the differences are between the cameras of the two products and I told you that it seems quite strange.

The iPhone 8 is today pitted against the Samsung Galaxy S8 in a similar test and we see exactly the same difference between the cameras, so things could still be true. As you will see from the first pictures, the iPhone 8 takes pictures that have much more intense colors than those visible in the pictures of the Samsung Galaxy S8 or iPhone 7, the differences being quite large between the three mobile phones.

The iPhone 8 has an improved image sensor and a new image processor, and the differences compared to the iPhone 7 are greater than in any other year with a new iPhone release. Interestingly, there are big differences even compared to the Samsung Galaxy S8 in terms of recording photos, the iPhone 8 offering a much better quality, although theoretically the situation should be exactly the opposite, in reality.

iPhone 8 vs Samsung Galaxy S8 – camera comparison

The iPhone 8 seems to take all the pictures with an HDR effect applied automatically even if the function is not activated, but without knowing exactly what settings were used, even with the Samsung Galaxy S8, we are only left with what we see. In this situation, as last night, the iPhone 8 seems to be superior to the Samsung Galaxy S8 in recording photos, and compared to the iPhone 7, the improvements are as clear as possible, although I did not expect it.

iPhone 8 "breaks the tradition" of previous years when the improvements for the cameras of Apple phones were not so easily visible, but not even in comparison with Samsung phones. This year, Samsung Galaxy S8 and Samsung Galaxy Note 8 seem to be surpassed by iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus in the first tests, and this is a very pleasant surprise from Apple, if it turns out to be really 100% real.

iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus were declared by photography experts to be the phones with the best cameras, and Samsung Galaxy S8 and Samsung Galaxy Note 8 should be inferior to them. We have yet to see other comparisons between the iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus cameras with the Samsung Galaxy S8 and Samsung Galaxy Note 8 to convince us without a doubt of their quality, but the situation seems quite clear.
