iPhone X and the OLED screen a week later

iPhone X and my experience with the best screen ever implemented in a smartphone launched by any manufacturer, the problems encountered and what you can expect.

The iPhone X has the best screen ever used in a mobile phone, that's without a doubt, but someone who has been using an iPhone with an LCD screen for years and years, might have some adjustment problems. I'm in the same situation, because after almost a week of using the iPhone X screen, I still haven't completely gotten used to changing the color shade, a problem recognized by Apple for OLED screens.

The iPhone X changes the shade of the colors of the screen from warm to cold depending on the angle from which we look at it, and when used in spaces with low brightness, the problem is greater than in natural light. The True Tone function does not help in any way, and in the case of reading long texts in spaces with not very good light, this problem of OLED screens can become very annoying very quickly, something that I suffer from.

The iPhone X has a good OLED screen, but compared to the LCD of the iPhone 7, you won't see major differences if you don't make a direct comparison between the phones' screens. If you switched directly to the iPhone X from the iPhone 7, or an older model, it is unlikely that you will notice differences in the display of colors, apart from those that change depending on the viewing angle, but this was to be expected from regular users .

The iPhone X has a very good screen, I don't dispute that and my only complaint about it is based on this change in color shade. Otherwise, I can say that I saw various interface problems, especially when unlocking from LockScreen with Face ID, but here it is not a problem of the screen itself, but a problem of the way iOS 11 was created by Apple and the way animations are played on phones.

The iPhone X has some issues with colored streaks appearing on screens with moments when the screen does not respond to touches, or with applications that open by themselves while looking at the screen. Well, I didn't encounter this on the iPhone X, the unit that arrived to me was free of these problems and I'm glad about it, because if it had, I wouldn't have had a place to change it in Romania due to extremely low stocks.

iPhone X, on the screen side, so far, has generated a mixed experience for me, not great, and that's because of the problem I presented above, which I don't even know if I'll get used to. Unfortunately, I know there are other Apple customers who have the same feeling about the iPhone X screen, but since the problem is with the OLED screens, not the phone, this is a compromise that must be made for an upgrade of this kind.
