Waze Update brings new very useful functions

Starting today, Waze has three new functions that are extremely useful for iPhone and Android drivers who want to spend less time in traffic.

Waze, the essential application for a city with congested traffic, and not only, was updated today, the new version bringing some extremely useful functions for everyone. The first of them is a hands-free mode, which allows controlling the functions using simple voice commands spoken to the Waze application, which is very beneficial for us.

Waze now listens to what we are talking about and when it hears the command Ok waze is ready to take over our wishes regarding navigation to a certain location, all without taking your hands off the wheel. Waze includes options that allow creating a route to home, to a gas station and some other very useful commands that save us from writing an address, but for now it is only available in the USA, Great Britain and Canada.

Waze also has a new feature for motorcyclists, who can use a special interface for their type of vehicle, with lane guidance. For them, Waze will find roads where cars can't fit, or roads where they could easily pass between cars to navigate through congested traffic, all directly on their phones.

Waze has also implemented a function for carpool, that is, to help people who want to go to a location to hitchhike in order to be taken by other drivers who are going in the same direction. For now, this function is available in only a few dozen cities in the US and Canada, but certainly it will be extended to other areas soon.

"HOV route support is launching in 22 US states plus Toronto, Vancouver and Montreal, with more cities in the US and Canada on the way. The list of carpool lane launch locations in the US is: Arizona, Atlanta, Boston, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Louisiana, Maryland, Minnesota, Massachusetts, Nevada, New York, New Jersey, North Carolina, Texas, Utah, Virginia , Washington, and Washington DC"

Waze is available for free download from the App Store for iPhone and Android following this link.
