The Apple company is preparing a major change for Apple Watch and Mac in 2018, those from Cupertino wanting to offer improved performance for both types of products next year. In order to fulfill their plan, those from Apple intend to use new types of logic boards that are faster and more versatile than those used in the current models, these being used in the iPhone 8 and iPhone X.
Apple wants to use the technology of logic boards from iPhone 8 and iPhone X including in Apple Watch and Mac, all thanks to the very high performances in data transfer. Apple worked with a company called Career to integrate these technologies into the logic boards of the iPhone 8 and iPhone X, and for 2018 it wants to make the same change including for the Apple Watch and Mac, it being a major one.

Apple will not only improve the performance of the Apple Watch and Mac thanks to this change, but will also reduce the space occupied inside the products by the logic boards. This change would allow the implementation of new components that offer improved functions on Apple Watc and Mac, but what could be offered by the Americans remains to be found out only in 2018.
"It order to address future hardware form factor design requirements (eg saving more internal space) and to keep abreast of potential data transmission spec upgrades (eg USB 3.2), we believe Apple is now working with Career, its FPCB supplier for MacBook, in exploring LCP FPCB designs for future MacBook models.”
Apple used this technology for the first time for phones, and its competitors will need at least another year to be able to integrate it into their own products, regardless of what kind they are. In this idea, these types of logic boards will arrive in the products of Apple's competitors only in 2019, so Apple will have a serious advantage over them until that point.
