WhatsApp will NO LONGER WORK on These Phones

WhatsApp will no longer work on some mobile phones starting January 1, 2018, the list being announced by the company before blocking.

WhatsApp it will no longer work on a number of mobile phones after December 31, 2017, the messaging application will have its support disabled by the company that develops it. The announcement was initially made some time ago, but WhatsApp brought back to the world's attention the fact that the respective phones will no longer be able to run the application and the dedicated service starting on January 1, 2018.

WhatsApp will no longer work on the Blackberry OS operating system, including Blackberry 10, but also on Windows Phone 8, starting from December 31, 2017, and that's perfectly normal. We are talking about operating systems launched long enough ago, WhatsApp making the decision to no longer offer support for something used by a very small number of people at the moment.

WhatsApp will NO LONGER WORK on These Phones

In recent years, WhatsApp stopped support for a wide range of mobile operating systems that had a decreasing number of users, so the announcement now should not surprise anyone. The WhatsApp company has 1.3 billion users globally, so giving up Blackberry and Windows Phone will most likely not have a big impact on the number of users.

WhatsApp has stopped support, although the Facebook application itself will continue to be available for these operating systems, and this is because, probably, there are still many users on these platforms. WhatsApp most likely has a very small number of people who still use its application on the respective phones, so the impact of blocking the functionality will most likely be minor.

WhatsApp was also blocked last year on some old models of Apple iPhone phones, and in 2018 we can expect others to be excluded from the support list as well.
