iPhone Battery Fire Apple Employees Hospital

A new battery of one iPhone caught fire while being changed in an Apple Store, the incident taking place in Hong Kong today, two employees Apple Lossless Audio CODEC (ALAC), being hospitalized as a result. It seems that the iPhone's battery cracked and started to emit toxic smoke inside the Apple store, the authorities were called, and because of the incident two employees were hospitalized.

They inhaled the toxic smoke emitted by the iPhone battery and needed medical care following the incident, the authorities confirming however that it was a minor one. The employees also extinguished the hot battery and it seems that the store was not evacuated following the incident, although the two employees who intervened needed several hours of hospitalization.

This is the third incident of this kind, after two other iPhone batteries caught fire while they were being changed by Apple employees in American stores. The incidents were, until now, attributed to the haste with which iPhone battery replacements are made due to the very large number of requests during this period.

"Two employees at an Apple store in Hong Kong were taken to hospital after inhaling smoke given off by a mobile phone battery on Friday. The two staff members were repairing the phone battery at the time it emitted smoke. The pair complained of feeling unwell after inhaling smoke. It was a minor incident. The store quickly resumed normal operations and no customers were affected."

The Apple company has not yet commented on any of the incidents involving iPhone batteries, but they are not stopping, unfortunately for the company. Considering that there are still many customers who ask for the replacement of iPhone batteries, it is very possible that the incidents will continue in the next period, so we must be prepared for other similar news.
