Apple Will Launch a Netflix Competing Video Streaming Service

Apple Streaming Video Competitor Netflix

Apple Lossless Audio CODEC (ALAC), is about to launch a competing video streaming service for Netflix, the American company having very big plans for users around the world. Apple has no less than 12 projects to produce films and TV series in the coming year, and after all of them will be officially launched, those from Apple will also launch the video streaming service.

Apple wants to launch its video streaming service in March - June 2019, so in about a year, and to realize the project, it is investing over 1 billion dollars in original content. Apple has no less than 40 employees working on the development of original content for the new video streaming platform, which will be available for Europe and the American continents.

Apple now distributes any kind of original content through Apple Music, but it wants something separate that is more complex, to be able to compete with Netflix, Hulu, or Amazon. The 1 billion dollars prepared by the Apple company to fulfill its plan seems to be enough, but the amount could be higher in the end to reach its goal.

"Apple's plans to make itself into a big player in the entertainment industry are now coming into focus. In recent months, the company has outspent Facebook and YouTube — two other tech companies that have also taken steps into original programming — as well as the traditional TV studios. In a few cases, it has also beaten Netflix in bidding wars."

Apple has contracted well-known actors and directors to meet its goal of competing with Netflix, Amazon and Hulu, so it will be interesting to see what it will manage to do. Many people believe that Apple cannot create a truly competitive service for Netflix, for example, but the reality is that it has the resources to do so, even in a year.
