Artificial intelligence it is the most important technology that will define our lives in the coming years, and a new study aims to tell us how many Romanians have heard about it. A new study carried out at the request of the company Huawei is meant to tell us that no less than 88% of Romanians have heard about artificial intelligence, but we also find out what they associate it with.
According to the study, artificial intelligence is associated 88% with robots, 64% with hardware/software, 63% with cars, 60% with medicine and 51% with the military industry. The interesting part is that half of the Romanians who have heard about artificial intelligence and intend to buy a phone with this technology in the next 2 years.

"Romanians are aware of innovations in technology, such as Artificial Intelligence, according to the results of the market research commissioned by Huawei and carried out in June 2018. Thus, 88% of them have heard of Artificial Intelligence and, of those who have heard about this technology, 88% associate it with robots, 64% with Hardware/Software, 63% with automobiles, 60% with medicine and 51% with the military industry. Moreover, half of Romanians who have heard of Artificial Intelligence intend to purchase a smartphone with AI technologies in the next 24 months.
When it comes to the most sought-after attributes of an AI phone, the first place is the efficiency of energy consumption and a more durable battery, the second place is the phone's memory, and the next places are the improvement of the browsing experience and the quality of photos.
Huawei, one of the most important local smartphone manufacturers, is also a brand with notoriety and credibility on the local market, being the most well-known brand among those aged between 35 and 45 (9 out of 10) and the second most popular brand among all respondents. In addition, 43% of respondents know that Huawei's portfolio also includes smartphones that integrate Artificial Intelligence.

The results of the market research were presented during the first debate on Artificial Intelligence in Romania, attended by over 200 experts in the field, representatives of the mass media, as well as consumers passionate about technology.
The market research was carried out for Huawei by the company iSense Solutions, in June 2018, on a representative sample of the commercial public, from the urban environment, between the ages of 24 and 45."
