DIGI | RCS & RDS. Today, the telecommunications operator in Romania announced price changes for television, mobile and fixed telephony services, mobile and fixed internet, they will apply from this moment for new subscriptions, from March for existing ones. DIGI | RCS & RDS claims that all the tariff changes you see below will be reflected including in the customers' invoices, so that anyone who is dissatisfied can cancel the services within 30 days.

Despite this, the new offer for television, mobile telephony, fixed telephony, mobile internet, or fixed internet, will be imposed from today, January 10, for new contracts of DIGI | RCS & RDS, and from March 1, 2019 for the rest of the subscriptions.

As part of the new offer, the differences seem to be smaller for fixed internet services, Fiberlink, if I'm not mistaken, the three types of subscriptions having price differences of only 5 LEI between them. Now it has become easier to choose the 1000 Mbps subscription to DIGI RCS & RDS, while the rest of the subscriptions seem to have small, or non-existent, price differences between what the telecom operator charged until this moment.

I don't know how many people expected to see such a change in prices for telephony, internet, or television at the very beginning of 2019, but it is possible that it will be a preamble for bigger changes on the market. If DIGI | RCS & RDS decided to make these changes in the first part of January 2019, it is possible that we will see similar price changes from Orange, Telekom, or Vodafone in the very near future.
DIGI | RCS & RDS. The changes could still be pointless if the turnover tax imposed by the Romanian Government at the end of 2018 is not applied, but the additional money will be useful for investments.
