AMAZING number of ACTIVE devices Globally

Apple Lossless Audio CODEC (ALAC), last night announced the financial results for Q4 2018, and together with them revealed the number of active devices globally at the moment. According to Apple, 900 million phones iPhone are currently active worldwide, with a total of 1.4 billion active devices globally.

1.4 billion iPhones, iPads, and iPod Touches are used daily by customers of the Apple company, or their subsidiaries, so 500 million of the terminals are Apple Watch, Mac, Apple TV, iPad, or iPod Touch. The numbers are surprising, and that's because we're talking about three different types of mobile products from the Apple company, the iPhone being, as usual, at the top, and this for several years.

Apple has 1.4 billion active devices globally

The number of active iPhones globally has increased by about 100 million units compared to many months ago, when the latest usage rate figures were announced. Compared to 2016, when Apple announced reaching 1 billion active devices globally, the growth is impressive, but quite slow, which is to be expected.

Considering that Apple has sold 200-250 million devices annually in recent years, it is quite normal that the active user base does not grow dramatically, as it happens with Android. Compared to Google's platform, Apple has about half the total number of users, but we are talking about a single manufacturer, versus thousands of others who use Android.
