Google Maps. Yesterday, the Google company organized the annual I/O event, in which it presents news for its products, be it the Android operating system or platforms such as online maps. Well, a new exclusive and extremely interesting function has arrived for Google Maps, the Google company wanting to offer its users news that they do not have in other similar platforms that they use either in mobile terminals or directly from the interface web.
Google Maps. Those from Google officially launched yesterday the possibility to use the online map platform in an "Incognito Mode", that is, a module that will allow you to use the platform without any usage data being recorded. If you already use "Incognito Mode" in Google Chrome, then you know what it is about, the function allowing you to surf the Internet without having information about navigation saved in the browser or computers.

Google Maps. You can see in the image above that a similar function is implemented for Google's online map platform, all with the idea of giving users the opportunity to use the platform more safely. The new function can be activated in Google Maps from the menu that also contains the profile picture, where other information regarding the control of the data stored by the map application is also displayed.

After activating this "Incognito Mode", the application will hide all the information that we enter in it to search for information through the huge database that the Google company has with locations from all over the world. Considering that Google Maps will no longer save the data we are looking for, this means that in the future it will no longer be able to offer us suggestions for entering locations for search, so this must also be taken into account.
Google Maps. The new functionality will be implemented in the applications for iOS and Android during this year, but for now there is no clear date when the functionality will be officially implemented.
