Samsung is finally preparing that revolution that everyone has been waiting for for the new foldable phone market, planning to bring to customers a model that will be even cheaper than the iPhone 11 Pro when it is officially launched. We are talking about a new folding phone model that will have a price whose value is even lower than half of that of the Samsung GALAXY Fold, and this is because Samsung wants these phones to be successful.
Samsung presented a few weeks ago the concept in the video clip above, it represents the Koreans' idea of the future in terms of foldable phones, and this in the idea that the current version of its vision is not very successful. Because the current vision of the company regarding foldable phones is not exactly a successful one, those from Samsung want to launch a foldable phone with a clamshell, something that ultimately represents a return to the past.

Samsung believes that such a folding phone model can be successful, and this in the conditions in which we are talking about a different way of folding, about a different way of use, about reduced utility, but still about a much lower price. According to those who know Samsung's plans, this new folding phone model would be put on sale at a price of approximately 850 dollars, that is, less than the iPhone 11 Pro.
"One of Samsung's new foldable phones will be a clamshell device that folds vertically, while the other is likely an updated version of the current Galaxy Fold. The clamshell phone's retail price is estimated to be around 1 million won ($845), a pricing strategy to boost sales and make it a mass-market model."
Samsung believes that a foldable phone that will be sold at such a price could attract much more interest than the current Samsung GALAXY Fold, and more than likely it will, because many more people will be able to afford it. The problem is that this foldable phone should also offer many of the functions that Samsung has included in the current one, otherwise the plan is doomed to failure.
Samsung has thought of a rather bold plan for turning foldable phones into a real success, but it remains to be seen to what extent it will be able to bring everything to a good end in order to fulfill its goals.
