Telekom si Orange would discuss an international merger of the telecommunications groups that currently control Europe, and if that were to happen, we would be talking about an extremely powerful company. Deutsche Telekom did not reach an agreement with France Telecom for a merger when previous talks took place, due to the vastly different values of the two companies, but that could soon change.
Orange recently announced that it wants to sell a good part of its existing mobile telephony infrastructure, all in an attempt to increase its market value, as Vodafone did in 2019. Telekom has not made a decision on this kind, but if the market values of the two companies will reach a somewhat common point, then it is very possible that the merger will become much more possible than it is at the moment for the companies.

The merger between Telekom and Orange could be extremely beneficial for all customers at the beginning, and this because the infrastructure of the new group will allow the expansion of services in many areas where only one had offers. In the short term, it is very possible that things will no longer be as good, and prices will increase under the dictatorship of a monopoly, but from simple discussions to a merger is a very long way for both companies.
In Romania, it is difficult to say whether Telekom and Orange could ever merge, and this is because a monopoly would be created on the mobile telephony market, so if the "mother" groups merge, it remains to be seen what will happen to the rest .
