YouTube video coronavirus

YouTube has announced a last-minute measure in the fight against the Coronavirus, the great video sharing platform offering users more information about the virus that has already scared a lot of people around the world.

YouTube recently took the step of substantially reducing the quality of the video clips that we see on the platform, they are now automatically displayed in SD format, 720p, for everyone, and all with the idea of decongesting the Internet networks in Europe.

YouTube still goes ahead with its measures, and decided to implement on the first page with recommendations of video clips, including a dedicated section in which it displays information about the Coronavirus, i.e. only videos from very large media organizations.

YouTube takes this measure in an attempt to help people to be informed only from reliable sources regarding the Coronavirus, not necessarily official sources, but media institutions that are old and big enough to be reliable.

YouTube has so far launched this change in 16 countries around the world, each with video clips from local sources, but everything will be extended including to other countries around the world so that even more people are better informed.
