Windows 10: Microsoft Officially Confirms a SERIOUS New Problem

Windows 10 has been officially confirmed by Microsoft to have a very serious new problem that also affects previous versions.

Windows 10 exploitation

Windows 10 has, unfortunately, a new serious problem officially announced by the Microsoft company, the Americans confirming that at the moment it is also being exploited by hackers in "limited" attacks. We are talking about a new vulnerability for Windows 10 that has been confirmed by Microsoft for users all over the world, and of course at the moment there is no patch released to keep the world safe.

Windows 10 has such a serious vulnerability discovered that if a hacker were to exploit it, he could run unsigned code remotely on the victim's computer, all without the victim knowing. It seems that the problem exists in the Adobe Type Manager Library system, which is used to display fonts in Windows 10, and exploitation can be done in multiple ways, according to Microsoft, either through documents or other similar attacks.

Windows 10: Microsoft Officially Confirms a SERIOUS New Problem

Windows 10 has this vulnerability introduced in the category of critical ones, this being the one in which Microsoft introduces the most dangerous problems, and in the end it is normal to be like this, since the exploitation produces so much damage. Microsoft says that although there is currently no patch to keep Windows 10 users safe from the problem, they are working on one so that everyone can use their computer safely.

"Microsoft is aware of limited targeted attacks that could affect unpatched vulnerabilities in the Adobe Type Manager Library and is providing the following recommendations to help reduce customer risk until the security update is released. Two remote code execution vulnerabilities exist in Microsoft Windows when the Windows Type Manager Adobe Library improperly handles a specially crafted multi-master font – the Adobe Type 1 PostScript format.”

Windows 10 should, theoretically, offer a patch for this new vulnerability on April 14, a Tuesday, one month away from the last one in which it offers monthly updates. Micosoft meanwhile recommends deactivating the preview system of File Explorer in Windows 10, together with the one for details, and does not recommend opening documents or other unknown files, because they can lead to the exploitation of computers.

Windows 10 2020 started with many very serious problems, and it seems to be going in the same direction now, so users have to be very careful how they use computers now.
