Apple donated 10 million masks to medical professionals in the US, and several million more to the European countries with the highest numbers of infections with the new Coronavirus, and their effort to protect medical professionals does not stop there.
Tim Cook, president of the Apple company, appears in the video clip below with the message regarding the very important donation made to medical personnel, and this is because we are talking about special masks with filters that offer the necessary protection in the case of treating people infected with the new Coronavirus.
Apple has extremely many partners in Asia, and as some of the factories that produced iPhone phones, or components for them, made special production lines to also make protective masks, it is easy to understand where they got such large stocks .
Apple is donating millions upon millions of masks in the US and Europe because it needs, like the rest of the companies, for the Corona virus pandemic to pass very quickly, and for the economy to resume its normal course, spending of course large sums of money in this effort .
Proud to share we've been able to source 10M masks for the US and millions more for the hardest hit regions in Europe. Our ops teams are helping to find and purchase masks from our supply chain in coordination with governments around the world. pic.twitter.com/uTsA6eA5ks
