The iPhone 12 would go through the assembly verification process sometime in June, so more than 2 months away, and Foxconn says that the period of time that will pass until then will allow the process to be completed for a release in September.
Despite the fact that Foxconn knows that there are still delays in the iPhone 12 preparation process due to the Coronavirus, the company believes that there is still enough time for the phone to be well enough prepared to go into production at the end of the summer.
Foxconn has lost a lot of money due to the Coronavirus, and continues to lose due to the fact that Apple cannot complete its development process for certain products, but it seems determined to help so that the iPhone 12 is released on time by the Americans.
