RCS & RDS: Big DISAPPOINTMENT for Many of His Customers

RCS & RDS has left many of its customers with great disappointment for years, and in 2020 it does not seem to be close to solving the existing problem.

Antique RCS & RDS

RCS & RDS is one of the telecommunications groups that has four different mobile phone networks currently active in the country, they are based on 2G, 3G, 4G, 5G technologies. Today we will talk about the 4G, which although it has been extended by the people from RCS & RDS throughout the country, and there are few locations where it does not offer coverage, there is still a problem that leaves many customers with an experience very bad, and which will only be solved by the 5G network.

RCS & RDS launched the 4G network many years ago, about 5-6 if I'm not mistaken, and then it came with the ability to allow data download at 100 Mbps, and upload at 10 Mbps on 2600 Mhz band 38 - TDD. On 2100 Mhz band 1 - FDD, the situation is different, the maximum download speed is 75 Mbps, and the upload speed is 21 Mbps, and what has changed since then and until now is nothing, the group still affirming that the 4G network has the same performance.

RCS & RDS: Big DISAPPOINTMENT for Many of His Customers

RCS & RDS extended the coverage of its 4G network from the moment of its launch until now, but apart from that it did not improve the experience that customers have, the speeds still being limited to a maximum of 100 Mbps. If we make a comparison with Orange, Vodafone, Telekom, which for about 2 years have maximum speeds of over 400 Mbps, and the first two offer more than 100 Mbps almost everywhere outside, and over 150 Mbps in homes (tested when writing the article on Orange ), RCS & RDS lagged far behind.

RCS & RDS invest a lot in the 5G network now, which offers speeds of over 500-600 Mbps when the network is empty, and probably over 300 Mbps when it is used by many people. Compared to the performance of the 4G network, which now has speeds up to 5-6 times lower than the theoretical ones, even outside in many areas, the 5G network that RCS & RDS is preparing will solve the problem, but in very few areas of country, and for a few people, who have 5G phones.

RCS & RDS will leave many customers with this bad internet browsing experience for many years to come, and it's surprising that they haven't focused as much on improving 4G network speeds.
