YouTube says that any kind of information that recommends illegal remedies for the Coronavirus, including the ingestion of disinfectants, is already being deleted from its platform, and this includes the video clips that recommend taking vitamin c, turmeric, etc., as a treatment for the Coronavirus.
YouTube takes these measures after many videos with lies were uploaded to the platform, and they recommended to people various false methods to protect themselves from infection with the new Coronavirus, or treatments that do not help to eliminate this virus.
"Speaking directly to CNN, YouTube CEO Susan Wojcicki confirmed that videos making unsatisfying or false claims against WHO and health professional guidelines — herbal remedies, disinfectant concoctions — are already being removed from the site video sharing to help reduce the spread of misinformation. during the COVID-19 pandemic."
