Android: What Google did very IMPORTANT for Phones

Android has a very important change announced by the Google company, here's why all phone users need to know about it right now.

Android protection

Android is in the spotlight today because of an extremely important change that was made by Google for users around the world, and we're talking about something that everyone should know. More precisely, those from Google announced the other day that they solved a series of very serious problems of the Android operating system, many extremely serious vulnerabilities being among those solved by the Americans.

Android it has among all these vulnerabilities an extremely serious one that allowed hackers to take total control over users' phones, something that of course no one would have ever wanted. Google says that in the end the possibility of exploiting this vulnerability depends very much on the privileges that an application has for the Android operating system, so not just any kind of application from the Google Play Store can exploit phones.

Android it can be still exploited by this vulnerability, in the versions that have not released the May security update, only if the applications in which the malicious code is included have sufficiently high system privileges. If those applications do not have administrator privileges, then exploitation is not really that possible, at least until the user grants the privileges he needs to exploit the operating system and control it.

“The most severe of these issues is a critical security vulnerability in the System component that could allow a remote attacker using a specially crafted transmission to execute arbitrary code in the context of a privileged process. The severity rating is based on the effect that exploiting the vulnerability would potentially have on an affected device, assuming that platform and service mitigation is stopped for development purposes or is successfully bypassed.”

Android it can be exploited through this vulnerability by hackers who use phishing attacks via email, websites, or even MMS, all based on the processing of multimedia files in phones. Here was the big problem that was solved by Google for all the phones already, and the security patch for May keeps all the phones safe, but of course this only if it is installed in the devices by the users.

Android has already distributed this patch in the phones launched by Google, but for the time being it is not offered by the various companies in the phones from third-party manufacturers.
