Romanian Government: Bad news for Romanians waiting for free masks

Government of Romania Bad news free masks

The Romanian government, through the Prime Minister, Ludovic Orban, comes with bad news for the 2.3 million Romanians who were waiting for 115 million free protective masks in June, and that's because they won't come as quickly as we thought.

The Romanian government has contested the auction for the purchase of these masks, so they will not be delivered until after that appeal is judged, and everything could stretch until August, so people are left without the masks they needed.

"I request the National Council for the Resolution of Appeals to resolve quickly, not to wait for the 20 days, but to give an absolute priority to the resolution of this appeal. From my point of view, the appeal is unfounded.

The masks were purchased according to the price, which is a price of 68 money, 0,68 lei, and the second criterion was the delivery time, which agreed delivery time was seven days. The contesting company did not show its ability to deliver within the term that was established in the tender documentation. It seems to me an appeal to put sticks in our wheels"
