Ministry of Health: announcement regarding the state of emergency in Romania

The Ministry of Health, through Minister Nelu Tataru, tells us today what is happening with the state of emergency in Romania, many questions are coming in connection with its imposition, but for now there is no case for such a radical measure, although it is not excluded.

The Ministry of Health is considering recommending the establishment of a state of emergency only if the number of cases will increase extremely much, and the intensive care units will be overloaded, which Nelu Tataru says is not the case for now, so everything is going the same as before .

"We are not in a medical collapse. We have 243 people in intensive care. Addressability to emergency departments is still acceptable. Those who are asymptomatic or have mild symptoms have, many of them, requested discharge. There are places in the hospital.

I don't see any danger of a return to the state of emergency at this point. We have been quick to recommend certain ideas politically. A part of the political cabal wanted to grab a part of the advantage created.

Relaxation measures have been taken. Each measure of relaxation went with a series of norms for the operation and development of that activity. We had to have relaxation measures on July 1st, so that won't happen"
