Coronavirus: Gyms become hospitals for infected patients

COVID-19 gyms hospitals

Considering that for quite some time now we have well over 1000 new infections of the Corona virus announced daily in Romania, the hospitals have become rather cramped, so that the gyms in some cities will be transformed into places for treating patients.

The measure is not one that I have not seen applied in other areas of Europe, in Spain being the best examples, where commercial spaces have been transformed into hospitals for the Coronavirus, but in Romania some gyms will be transformed into places treatment of patients.

Unfortunately, it is expected that the number of people infected with the Coronavirus will increase, and this leads to overcrowding in hospitals, which ultimately leads to the need to create new locations to place asymptomatic patients or those with mild forms of the disease.

"In the first phase, a number of ten beds intended for patients in critical condition in need of mechanical ventilation were operationalized, by the end of the week we will double the capacity.

We have there 240 beds set up in two pavilions with medically correct epidemiological circuits and they are fully equipped. Equipped compared to the spring tide when the situation, although it was bad, is better because now the capacity is almost at the limit, every day we only have two, three, four free beds."
