Facebook only allows students with a university email address to sign up to use Campus, which is exactly what happened when the social network was first launched more than a decade ago.
Facebook says that the new social network, integrated into the main one, has its role, and this is because students no longer return to universities due to the Coronavirus pandemic, but they must have a place where they can chat freely, and this is called Campus .
“With COVID-19, we are seeing many students not returning to campus in the fall. Now classes are online and students are trying to adjust to this new normal of what it means to connect with clubs and organizations you care about when you're not together.”
