Nelu Tataru: in October, new cases of Coronavirus should decrease

Nelu Tataru October, new cases of Coronavirus decrease

Nelu Tataru today makes an announcement that many Romanians have been waiting for a very long time, one that, if it comes true, should bring relief to many people in a period when the situation is not exactly one of the best in Romania, but the authorities' estimates show a better future.

Nelu Tataru hopes that after the middle of October the daily number of cases of infection with the new Coronavirus will decrease constantly, something that the authorities have been hoping for since August, but it did not happen, so we can only hope that now things will work out in this direction.

"We have quite a busy month of September: the reopening of schools, cinemas, theaters, the return from holidays, the crowding of public transport, the electoral campaign, the elections on September 27. Each of these activities has some rules of application and operation in order to run smoothly and with as little risk as possible. Adherence to these rules means staying on a plateau, around 1.500 cases, or alternating around that number.

If we maintain, then we can think in the second half of October that we can also have a downward slope. We're going, for now, on that plateau. We are on the second hump of the first pandemic wave. We hope to be able to manage well this beginning of school. As long as we stay in the same register, we hope that in the second half of October we will go on a downward slope."
