Today, the Ministry of Health made a new report on the number of new cases of Coronavirus in Romania, and unfortunately we have a record in terms of deaths, 73 being registered in the last 24 hours, a very high figure, which comes after for months many new cases are confirmed daily.
The Ministry of Health also tells us that the number of people hospitalized in intensive care has reached a new record, 608, and is still going towards 1000, a figure that the authorities expect to reach by the end of the year, if the rate of infections continues in the same way in the following weeks.
"In the interval 05.10.2020 (10:00) - 06.10.2020 (10:00) 73 deaths (44 men and 29 women) of patients infected with the new coronavirus, hospitalized in hospitals in Alba, Arad, Argeș, Bacau, Brăila, Brașov, Buzău, Caraș-Severin, Cluj, Constanța, Dâmbovița, Dolj, Giurgiu, Gorj, Harghita, Hunedoara, Iasi, Mehedinți, Mureș, Neamț, Prahova, Sibiu, Suceava, Timiș, Tulcea, Vaslui, Ilfov and the Municipality of Bucharest.
In specialized health facilities, the total number of people hospitalized with COVID-19 is 8.097. Of these, 608 are hospitalized at ATI."
