Klaus Iohannis, the President of Romania, today presided over the meeting of the Government of Romania, which took place at 19:00, and announced that Romania will enter a partial quarantine, that is, movement at night will be prohibited for citizens from all over the country , a first step before total quarantine.

Klaus Iohannis also announced that all markets and fairs will be closed, masks will be mandatory everywhere in Romania, no matter where we go, schools will also be completely closed, shops will be closed starting at 21 p.m.: 00, and not only that.

Ludovic Orban, Prime Minister of Romania, stated that the new restrictive measures will come into force starting from Monday.

"We had almost 10.000 new cases today. We had too many who died today and we have to be very realistic. Firm measures are needed to control the spread of the pandemic.

The measures taken so far are no longer sufficient. National measures are needed such as all schools going online. Both public and private employees to telecommute wherever possible.

Shops must be closed at 9:00 in the evening. Circulation during the night must be restricted. Parties must be banned. Fairs and markets must be closed. Wearing a mask must become mandatory everywhere in the country regardless of whether they are public places inside or outside.
