Facebook takes this decision because after Great Britain and other countries around the world, including the European Commission, they are preparing to approve the first vaccines to be used to immunize the population and reduce the spread of the virus.

“This could include false claims about the safety, effectiveness, ingredients or side effects of vaccines. For example, we will remove false claims that COVID-19 vaccines contain microchips or anything else that is not on the official list of vaccine ingredients. Because it is early and the facts about COVID-19 vaccines will continue to evolve, we will regularly update the claims we are removing based on guidance from public health authorities as they learn more.”
