The Ministry of Health announced today a huge record of patients admitted to ATI after infection with the new Coronavirus, the figures being extremely worrying, unfortunately for all of us, and this is a very big problem for everyone at this moment.
The Ministry of Health is preparing to supplement the number of ATI beds for patients from all over Romania, another 300 beds being prepared to increase the capacity from 1400 to 1700, but everything will happen in the next few weeks.
"In specialized health units, the total number of people hospitalized with COVID-19 is 12.319. Of these, 1.299 are hospitalized at ATI.
Up to this date, at the national level, 4.386.813 tests have been processed. Of these, 30.246 were performed in the last 24 hours, 20.287 based on case definition and medical protocol, and 9.959 on request.
On the territory of Romania, 40.530 people confirmed to be infected with the new coronavirus are in isolation at home, and 11.527 people are in institutional isolation. Also, 66.100 people are in home quarantine, and 116 people are in institutionalized quarantine."
