FAN Courier issued today a very important warning for all Romanians in the country, one that comes after OLX published an alert regarding the frauds that are taking place in Romania at this time, and you must be very careful about everything that happens .
"The people at OLX Romania are constantly working to offer you a secure trading environment for everything you want. Taking advantage of the trust you have in accessing the platform, attackers have emerged impersonating OLX and FAN Courier accounts to lure you into leaving your personal and banking details. The phenomenon is called "phishing" and it is the most frequent fraud in the online environment.
It is very important to:
- Do not enter your card details to "receive the value of products sold on OLX". Collection of the amount for products sold by users on OLX and delivered by courier is never done online, but only through FAN Courier, by cash on delivery, after checking the parcel.
- OLX sends sellers e-mail alerts with the status of the transaction, and FAN Courier makes the payment in cash or directly to the account.
- With the delivery offered by FAN Courier, there is no need for a card number or CVV / CVC code, the amount will be paid in cash or transferred directly to the IBAN of the user's bank account, after he has accepted the order received in the Delivery section through OLX."
