The Government of Romania: The 2nd Stage of Vaccination against the Coronavirus is ready to begin

Romanian government stage 2 coronavirus vaccination

The Romanian government presented today, through Valeriu Gheorghita, the strategy for carrying out the second stage of vaccination against the Coronavirus, and below you can see all the details regarding the development.

"Dr. Valeriu Gheorghiță, president of the National Committee for Vaccination against COVID-19: From January 15, the second stage of the Vaccination Strategy begins. At the moment, anti-covid vaccine is administered in about 235 centers intended for medical units, workers in the medical and social system. For the second stage, 750 centers will be operationalized, which will have around 1.766 vaccination points, where it will be possible to ensure a maximum vaccination capacity of over 100.000 people per day.

They will take part in the second stage of vaccination: people over 65 years old; people with chronic diseases, regardless of age, diagnosed with diabetes, with obesity, chronic cardiovascular diseases, chronic kidney diseases, chronic lung diseases, people with oncological diseases, autoimmune diseases, people with immunosuppression, including people with HIV/AIDS infection; people who carry out activities in key, essential fields.
The platform where citizens can register will be ready on January 15.

For people over the age of 65, the appointment can be made individually, through the family doctor, through the call center services (here, as a novelty, we will have a unique number at national level: 021.414.44.25), through the Social Assistance Department from town halls or through relatives, who can create an account and register up to a maximum of 10 family members.
For people who are on record with chronic diseases, under the age of 65, the appointment is made through the family doctor. If the person in question does not have access to a family doctor or does not have a family doctor, an appointment can be made, individually, through the call center service, on the web page, through the Department of Social Assistance or, likewise, through relatives.
For people who serve essential activities, the appointment is made through the employer. The beneficiary can decide, after being validated by the employer, the day and the center where he wants to get vaccinated. Which, from our point of view, offers freedom in choosing the center and the day you want to get vaccinated."
