Coronavirus Romania Decreases the Rate of February Vaccinations

Romania decreases the pace of vaccinations against the Coronavirus in February, the authorities in our country being forced to take this measure due to the lack of doses to use for the population seeking to be immunized.

"According to the data made available to the CNCAV by the National Institute of Public Health, through the National Electronic Register of Vaccinations (RENV) application, which keeps records of vaccinations, the situation as of February 01, 17.00, is the following:

1. Number of doses of Pfizer BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine administered (in the last 24 hours): 29.769, to a number of 29.769 persons of which:

– 12.917 people vaccinated with 1 dose;

– 16.852 people vaccinated with 2 doses.

2. Total number of doses of Pfizer BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine administered (as of December 27, 2020): 721.184, to a number of  598.135 persons of which:

– 475.086 people vaccinated with 1 dose;

– 123.049 people vaccinated with 2 doses.

3. Total number of adverse reactions recorded at the level of vaccination centers (in the last 24 hours): 66 common and minor reactions, from which:

– 5 local reactions;

– 61 general reactions.

4. Total number of adverse reactions recorded at the level of vaccination centers (as of December 27, 2020): 1.880 common and minor reactions, from which:

– 461 local reactions with pain at the injection site;

– 1.419 general reactions (fever, headache, myalgia, arthralgia, asthenia, urticaria type allergies).

We specify that the program of the vaccination centers ends at at 20.00, which is why the number of vaccinations carried out in the interval timetable 17.00 – 20.00 it will be reflected in the following day's reporting."
