Romanian Government: Conditions for Enrollment on the Vaccination Waiting List

Government of Romania registration conditions vaccination waiting list

The Romanian government has published the conditions for registering on the waiting list for vaccination in Romania, and we are talking about very good news for many people in the 3rd category who were impatiently waiting to be vaccinated.

The Romanian government presents below everything people need to know about this procedure that will start on Monday, and what to expect after the general vaccination of the Romanian population will be allowed in the centers all over the country.

"The leadership of the National Committee for the Coordination of Activities on Vaccination against COVID19 (CNCAV) together with the representatives of the National Institute of Public Health (INSP) and the Special Telecommunications Service (STS), announces the operationalization of the waiting lists for vaccination appointments against COVID-19, starting dated March 15.

Thus, when the vaccination schedule will be available for the general population, both existing vaccination centers and those that will be operationalized in April 2021 will be visible in the scheduling platform for beneficiaries. After the exhaustion of available slots from the vaccination centers, the waiting list is activated.

The notification of the people on the waiting list will be carried out according to the priority vaccination categories, according to the National Vaccination Strategy, and the chronological order of enrollment, as follows:

• people in category 2a (risk population), over 65 years old or with chronic diseases;

• persons in category 2b (workers in essential fields);

• persons eligible for the III stage of vaccination (general population).

The beneficiary will have the opportunity to make an appointment for vaccination, and if there are no places available in the chosen center, he can opt for registration on the waiting list related to that center. Afterwards, the free places in a certain vaccination center will be available only to people registered in the open list for that center, respecting the prioritization: 75% people from the population at risk and 25% workers in essential fields, and in the centers where there are still free places, people from stage III will be able to schedule.

More precisely, each vaccination center will have places both for vulnerable categories and employees in essential fields, as well as for the general population, and the order of allocation of vaccination appointments will be made according to the degree of occupancy of the places by the priority categories registered on the lists of the respective center.

Vaccination appointments can be made both through the electronic platform and by calling the call center number, and the ways to complete the appointment process for people on the waiting lists are as follows:

➢ For those who choose individual scheduling in the electronic platform: when places become available at the center where the person registered, the beneficiary receives a notification to this effect, and will later enter the application to choose the day and time slot. The person who does not confirm by appointment the available place within 24 hours of receiving the notification, will receive two more subsequent notifications. In the absence of a confirmation within this time frame, the beneficiary remains on the waiting list, but will lose the position initially occupied.

➢ For people who opt for scheduling through the call center, at the number 021.414.44.25: when a free place appears at the vaccination center where they registered, they will be scheduled for vaccination on the day and in the time slot available for the administration of the vaccine. These people will be notified and it is not necessary to confirm the appointment. The person enrolled in the waiting list has the possibility to be reassigned to the waiting list of another vaccination center."
