Alert from the Romanian Post, what all Romanians need to know

Romanian Post computer attack alert

The Romanian Post issued an extremely important alert for Romanians all over the country, one that you should know about right now because you are affected by what the national company says, and we are talking about an extremely serious problem now.

The Romanian Post brings to the attention of all Romanians a very serious problem related to a computer attack that has already targeted several of its customers, but anyone can be targeted because it is not only directed against customers.

"Recently, some Romanian Post customers have received misleading e-mails in which they are informed that they have received a parcel and are urged to access links that direct users to fake web pages, which contain a clone of the website Romanian Post. Users, convinced that they are on the company's official page, enter confidential data, card numbers and other information that are requested of them by those who fraudulently use the identity of the Romanian Post, reasoning that it is necessary to pay customs fees to enter the possession of the package. By accessing the respective link, customers' bank data are collected, with the aim of embezzling money from their accounts.

We inform you that the Romanian Post only communicates through official e-mail addresses (suportclienti@posta-romana.ro, noreply@posta-romana.ro) and we draw your attention that we do not ask customers to provide personal data, confidential bank information relating to personal accounts, card numbers or PIN codes, nor making online payments of customs duties.

The company representatives took all the necessary measures, reported all the attacks reported by customers to the responsible entities, and the domain that fraudulently used the visual identity of the website www.posta-romana.ro was deactivated.

We are constantly concerned about the security and safety of our customers' devices and urge you that if you receive messages with such requests, do not open them and mark them as spam or do not access any of the links present in the message."
