Romanian Government School Physical Education Incidents 6 per 1000 Inhabitants

The Government of Romania, through the CNSU, adopted today a decision establishing the fact that in Romania school can take place in a physical format if the incidence rate in localities does not exceed 6/1000 inhabitants, a threshold double the one applied until now.

The Romanian government adopts this decision through the CNSU more than a week after it was officially announced that it would be taken, and now things are turning into reality because it was necessary for a decision of this kind to be adopted.


Art.1 – (1) The Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Health are authorized to issue a joint Order establishing the measures to organize the activity within the educational units/institutions under epidemiologically safe conditions for the prevention of illness with the SARS-CoV virus -2.

(2) The common order referred to in para. (1) considers the following scenarios:
a) in localities where the cumulative incidence of cases, in the last 14 days, is less than or equal to 6/1000 inhabitants, the daily participation, with physical presence in classes, of all pre-schoolers, preschoolers and students in educational units is allowed and with compliance with and application of all rules to prevent the spread of SARS-CoV-2 infections;

b) in the localities where the cumulative incidence of cases in the last 14 days is
greater than 6/1000 inhabitants, until the quarantine measure is instituted, the daily participation, with physical presence in classes in the educational units, of all pre-schoolers, preschoolers and students in special education is allowed with the observance and application of all the rules to prevent the spread of SARS-CoV-2 infections and the participation in the online system of all other categories of students.

Art.2 – This decision is communicated for implementation by order
The Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Health and to the knowledge of the other components of the National Emergency Management System.
