Vodafone is notifying its customers in Romania about a series of measures that have been taken recently, one of them being extremely important because a change was needed in terms of coverage in the border areas with Ukraine. In this idea, the people from Vodafone decided to increase the power of the mobile phone network that covers the border areas with Ukraine during this period when a lot of people arrive in those areas.
Vodafone knows very well that in the border areas of Romania the coverage is not exactly great, as in the case of any other telecommunications operators, and this is because it is not exactly easy to cover those areas of the Romanian territory. In order to help people who arrive in Romania, customers who use roaming in Ukraine, and who have to wait in long queues to enter the country, the people from Vodafone have strengthened the signal in the area, and it is possible that it will reach beyond the border points.

However, Vodafone has improved the signal on the Romanian side so that people from that area can communicate without problems with anyone in the country, especially since efforts are being made to find cases, food, clothes, and whatever else the people who arrive in Romania need. Vodafone also announced that it offers customers free calls to Ukraine, or calls from Ukraine to Romania, along with SMS and internet traffic.
Vodafone also offers refugees who come to Romania free prepaid cards with 10 GB of internet traffic, 100 national minutes and SMS, unlimited minutes and SMS in the network and 30 international minutes in Ukraine, a one-time bonus when activating the card. These cards are distributed in the refugee centers in Romania by the people who are there to help the people who arrive and need help.
