Finland is ready to fight with Russia if it is attacked, according to Timo Kivinen, the general in charge of the country's defense, stating that the army is prepared for the type of war that is being waged in Ukraine by the Russians, and that is understandable, since his country has been under threat from the Kremlin for decades.
Finland is waiting to be allowed to join NATO during next week's Summit in Madrid, but Turkey refuses to allow this, for now, the same is also true in the case of Sweden, but even without joining the alliance, the country is determined to stand up to Russia, as it has done before.
Finland is a powerful country, whose defense system has been developed for decades while living under the threat of Russia, but it is possible that now it really needs the help of NATO to be able to face possible attacks, even if the Russian army is substantially involved in the war in Ukraine.
