ECDC: Important Last Minute Decision Announced to Millions of Europeans

ECDC Important Decision Last Time Announced to European Millions

ECDC has officially announced a very important last-minute decision that will have an impact for millions of Europeans in the European Union, and not only, the European Agency for Disease Control deciding to postpone until autumn the offering of new recommendations regarding the movement of people within the EU with limitations imposed by the Coronavirus pandemic.

ECDC stated that it took this decision for several reasons, one of them having to do with discussions held within the commission regarding the EU's integrated mechanism for political response to crises, the IPCR, the war in Ukraine most likely playing an important role due to the fact that refugees must move freely through Europe.

ECDC says, however, that other more important considerations for abandoning the weekly maps with the incidence rates of the Coronavirus infections, and recommendations for travel restrictions, are based on the fact that very few tests are done during this period, and the data are not relevant, in plus countries adopt new methods to deal with large numbers of cases.

The ECDC announced this decision just a few days after France announced that it is again imposing the COVID certificates for entering the country, and it is not excluded that other countries will do the same since the number of cases of infection with the Corona virus continues to increase, but the use of maps with incidence rates at the EU level is suspended until autumn.
