iOS 16 Reveals iPhone 14 Major Secret Before Launch

iOS 16 reveals one of the major secrets of the iPhone 14 before the launch of Apple's new series of phones. The beta versions of the operating system contain a lot of important information about the iPhone 14 series, and some of them show us that some models will come with an Always On screen.

iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max could be the only models in the series that could have an Always On screen, although iOS 16 does not confirm this 100% clearly. It is still easy to understand why Apple would want to offer this technology exclusively in the more expensive models, since the screen itself will not be that cheap.

iOS 16 already includes a special wallpaper for the Always On screen in iPhone 14 phones, and there is no better confirmation than this. Although theoretically only the iPhone 14 series would have screens with the Always On function, Apple would also test this functionality on the iPhone 13 series models, although it is almost 100% certain that it will not offer it for them as well.

iPhone 14 could have a screen with a variable refresh rate between 1Hz and 120Hz, which would reduce energy consumption substantially, and would allow offering an Always On mode. iOS 16 comes with new types of wallpapers from the Apple company, and these would be more suitable for an Always On screen, even on current models.

iOS 16 is in full testing now, and its official release should take place sometime around mid-September. Regarding the Always On screen, the function has existed in the Apple Watch for several years, and in essence it means that we will have some information permanently displayed on the iPhone 14 screen, even when the screen is locked.
