WHO Announcement of Great Concern Urgent Measures Required for the Whole World

The WHO warns hundreds of millions of people around the world, and dozens of countries that at the moment should urgently implement a series of measures to control the alarming situation that the whole world is going through in full wave 6 of infections generated by Coronavirus, in many countries without measures to prevent active spread.

The WHO says that the 6th wave of coronavirus infections can be kept under control if countries decide to re-impose at least some of the measures that were in force in previous waves, mainly the wearing of protective masks in closed spaces, which can make the difference between overloading the systems medical, and an easy course.

The WHO has been demanding the imposition of measures of this kind for some time, especially since the BA.5 variant of the Coronavirus is much more transmissible than the initial Omicron strain, and the BA.2.75 subvariant would be more transmissible than the currently dominant one globally, so could seriously reduce the spread of the virus in the communities of many countries.

The WHO tells us, through Dr. Mike Ryan, that the measures to prevent the spread such as wearing a mask, social distancing, disinfection, can reduce the number of people who are exposed to the virus and are at risk of infection, and this in the conditions where there are countries with low rates of vaccination and exposed vulnerable population, which can be better protected with measures of this kind.
