Minister of Education: Last Minute Measures Decided for the Future of the Education System

The Minister of Education Last Time Measures Decided the Future of the Education System

The Minister of Education officially revealed a series of very important measures that were approved by the authorities following very constructive discussions that took place, and there are 30 proposals formulated by the ASE for the draft law on Higher Education in Romania.

The Minister of Education explains below what kind of measures are taken to modify this extremely important legislative package for Romania, they will be passed through the normal process of adopting laws in our country, so it will take until they are adopted and promulgated by president.

"The Ministry of Education approved 30 proposals formulated by the Academy of Economic Studies regarding the improvement of the content of the Higher Education Law project! The project of the Higher Education Law is in a dynamic process of public debate and we analyze daily proposals formulated by those really interested in the reform of education in Romania, in accordance with the principles and values of the "Educated Romania" Report!

In addition to the proposals already agreed today with the representatives of the University Consortium, I appreciate the proposals submitted by the Academy of Economic Studies as constructive. The 30 proposals received and accepted will bring more quality and clarity to the normative content of the Higher Education Law.

The improvement proposals formulated by the Academy of Economic Studies aim at the following main aspects: Clarifying the duties and responsibilities of university senates, administrative boards, deans and department directors, as well as clarifying some phrases from the normative content of the Higher Education Law project.

CSUD and doctoral schools can establish by their own regulations higher standards than those established by CNSTGU; the unspent amounts can be used in a wider budget range in the interest of the academic communities; the consolidation of some provisions of the draft Law that concern the connection of universities with the labor market.

The specification according to which the amount of 300 lei/month/student allocated for the establishment of the scholarship fund is a minimum amount; supporting the transparency of processes in Romanian universities; We emphasize that only through an active and constructive involvement, regardless of the role we have and the position we hold, we, all those interested in the fate of education, our children and our future as a society, must support #Educated Romania . This project is far too important for Romania to be allowed to be seized by interest groups promoting false themes and unrelated to the legitimate interest of Romanian students and universities."
